 Chongoni rock art expresses spiritual life, ancestral relationships, initiation teachings, and the worldview of both early hunter-gatherers (Batwa/Twa) and later Chewa communities of Malawi.

In thIs photograph, a man stretches out his arms beside a danfo, embodying the energy of Lagos — loud, restless, alive. His patterned attire echoes the vibrancy of his environment, a mosaic of color and courage. In the second, a woman strides forward with quiet determination, balancing her goods and her dignity against the rush of the street. Together, they become emblems of persistence — two portraits of motion in a living, breathing Nigeria.  We Move is not merely a phrase; it is a philosophy. It speaks to the collective heartbeat of Nigerians — their ability to adapt, endure, and create joy amid disorder. Every gesture, every stride, every horn blare becomes a testament to resilience.  To live in Nigeria is to move — through hardship and hope, through traffic and time, through noise and stillness. This work captures that rhythm: the beauty, the hustle, and the unwavering spirit that defines what it truly means to be Living Nigeria.

Purple Bay is a sunrise view of Tarkwa Bay from 2022. It inspired my first ever short story of the same name, in which two old friends reconnect over a sun-set picnic in a re-named Tarkwa Bay. It depicts a subtle vision of what it feels like to be free.

Mallam Usman. A study in stillness and stubborn grace. He sat sipping his tea, half-impatient, half-intrigued, as my camera lingered longer than he would’ve liked. In that fleeting pause, between his sigh and my shutter, I caught it: the quiet dignity of an ordinary man unaware he was about to make me a winner.
